A big field of runners turned out for the Moderate Hurdle Race at Newbury. Roman Road (Speck), put up a good performance, leading Aruntius (Pellerin) over the final obstacle, which the favourite did not take too cleanly. However, in the end, Aruntius won easily enough, and Roman Road made amends at Birmingham last Thursday.
