My grandfather, Thomas Augustus Chandler, was born in Bell Street, son of Joseph Chandler who ran a butcher's shop which is the building just on the right, where the person standing in the road is outside. In 2006 I was in Reigate and by chance went into a florists on that site, not knowing it was the same site. When I found where I had been the hairs stood up on my neck. Coincidence or fate?
